Generally, semicircular pipe, channel steel, arc pipe jacket, or Miller plate jacket are used to cool with liquid secondary refrigerant at low temperature and low pressure (-3 ℃, 0.03MPa). Often use 20% to 30% alcohol solution, or 20% propylene glycol aqueous solution as a refrigerant.
Depending on the tank capacity, cooling can be two-stage or three-stage. Cooling area according to the tank material, stainless steel material is generally 0.35 ~ 0.4m / m fermentation broth, carbon steel tank 0.5 ~ 0.62m / m fermentation broth. Cone bottom cooling area should not be too large, to prevent the storage period beer icing.
Insulation layer and protective layer: Insulation material requires thermal conductivity, low volume, low water absorption, non-flammable and other characteristics. Commonly used insulation material polyurethane. Insulation thickness is generally 80mm.
